St Patricks Boys National School have bridged a thirteen year gap by winning the U 13 Education Supplies Roinn A Schools Final against city rivals St Canice's

Both teams showed no signs of nerves as the game got off to a hectic start with great commitment from both sides. The St Pat boys lined out against a strong wind in the first half but hit the ground running with  long range frees from Tadhg O Dwyer.
Canice’s had their best spell of the game at the begining by hitting 1 03 with out reply and really looked sharp from the start.
Under great pressure the Pat’s full back line of Shane Donohoe Ben Devlin and Patrick Kennedy stood strong and quickly got on terms with the St Canice’s attack.
Shane O Shaughnessy played his heart out at centre back and gave an exhibition of fielding high balls  and was ably assisted by the strong Jack Butler and Noah Canty.
At centre field Tadhg O Dwyer gave a man of the match performance scoring 1 09 and Andrew Parsons also played well and scored a great goal in the second half.
Half forwards, Liam Rafter William Spenser (01) and Shane Stapleton work tirelessly all day and were the launch pad for most of the Village scores.
The inside men of Christian Holohan and Nathan Donohoe provided strong support for fleet footed Niamul Hossein.
Ross Whelan was introduced in the second half and scored a point with his first touch. Eoin Wall also showed his golden touch when he sprung from the bench and scored a great goal.
Also involved were James Walton, Micheal Doyle, Tommy Walton, Aaron Kelly, Andy Walsh, Ryan Scanlon and Andy Whelan.

Well done to all.
