2 April 2005

Severe Disappointment as depleted Senior Football team is relegated.

As 16 players turned up for a relegation decider with Dicksboro, 16 days after All Ireland Hurling Glory, our Senior footballers were relegated Intermediate after 40 years in senior ranks. Despite the best efforts of all present, a lack of football , brought about by missing the Football league to win the Club All Ireland and a surfeit of celebration brought 40 years of proud Village Senior Football including senior football titles in 1976, 1988, 1991,1993,1995,1996,2003 to a disappointing end.
